Much love to you all,

Shidfar & Farzaneh

9th Anniversary of Amin’s Passing

Dearest friends & families,

One of the most precious gifts that has been bestowed upon us is hope. From the beginning of our existence the seed of hope has been planted in our heart, mind and every cell of our body. And one of the prerequisite elements that could germinate hope in our life is desire. But in reality there is another inseparable component the absence of which makes it impossible for every creation of Almighty to move forward in life.   Patience.   Patience is an attribute of God which must be incorporated in every moment of human life.

As Baháʼu’lláh has indicated that:

“Further know ye that for all good deeds there is ordained a limited reward in the Book of God with the exception of patience. This is the point that was made by God unto Muhammad, the Apostle of God. “Those who patiently persevere will truly receive a reward without measure.”[2]

At every moment of our life we humbly bow our head to Baháʼu’lláh for holding our hands at all times through thin and thick and guiding us to be patient during the past nine years.

Baháʼu’lláh states:

It behooveth whosoever hath set his face towards the Most Sublime Horizon to cleave tenaciously unto the cord of patience, and to put his reliance in God, the Help in Peril, the Unconstrained.[3]

And then we end the letter with these beautiful words from the Writings of the Báb:

Say, this earthly life shall come to an end, and everyone shall expire and return unto my Lord God Who will reward with the choicest gifts the deeds of those who endure with patience. Verily thy God assigneth the measure of all created things as He willeth, by virtue of His behest; and those who conform to the good-pleasure of your Lord, they are indeed among the blissful.[4]

With all our love to all of you.

Happy 39th Birthday Amin-John

Dear family and friends,

We are holding tight to the memories of our dear Amin forever. These memories are like a string that attach us to the heaven. It has been said life is the only thing which can never be replaced when it is lost. True, but reviewing and remembering beautiful memories of our loved ones who are gone are never ending shadow of their life on earth with us.

O SON OF BEING! Thy Paradise is My love; thy heavenly home, reunion with Me. Enter therein and tarry not. This is that which hath been destined for thee in Our kingdom above and Our exalted dominion.

-The Hidden Words of Bahá’u’lláh

Please kindly remember Amin in your prayers on his birthday.

With love,

Shidfar & Farzaneh

Amin’s 38th Birthday

“O Son of Man!

I loved thy creation, hence I created thee. Wherefore, do thou love Me, that I may name thy name and fill thy soul with the spirit of life.”

The Hidden Words of Bahá’u’lláh

Our dearest friends & families,

Birthdays are a chance to remember the day that a major event has happened.  Birthdays should be commemorated and honored because the precious gift of a life has been bestowed.  Birthdays should be remembered and celebrated wisely.  They are a chance to reflect, grow and develop for the purpose of getting ready for the next major chapter in our continuous lives.   Basically a precious gift for our eternal and everlasting existence.

Please remember our dearest son Amin John in your prayers.  His precious memories  will be one of the greatest joys of life for us until we meet again.

With absolute love to each one of you,

Shidfar & Farzaneh

Seven Years

Our dearest family and friends,

It is amazing to witness how days are passing slowly but strangely not to realize how years are adding up rapidly.   It is difficult to believe seven years have now passed. Seven years that have taught us to become more patient, to have better understanding of our purpose in this life, and to be totally submissive to the Will of God.  Now we have a new perspective of life and have moved to a different era of having Faith.  The greatest degree of inner tranquility comes from the development of our understanding regarding our purpose in this life.

Words cannot express the pain and grief when we lose a beloved son but at the same time we do not wish to dwell on this test. It has been said experience is a hard teacher because tests come first and teaching next.  Through tests we become adjusted and tuned. It is painful but for being worthy and capable we should abide by His Will.

Amin was taken away too soon from us but nothing can take away the special and dear memories that we shared with him.

“O Son Of Man

For every thing there is a sign. The sign of love is fortitude under My decree and patience under my trials.”

Please keep Amin jan in your prayers as we do.

With all of love to all of you,

Shidfar & Farzaneh

Amin’s 37th Birthday

“O SON OF MY HANDMAID! Wouldst thou seek the grace of the Holy Spirit, enter into fellowship with the righteous, for he hath drunk the cup of eternal life at the hands of the immortal Cup-bearer and even as the true morn doth quicken and illumine the hearts of the dead.”

– The Hidden Words of Bahá’u’lláh

December 17th is one of the highlights of our life.  This is a date that Amin was given to us as a gift. If he was here with us he would be 37 years old now.  There are some who bring light so great to the world that even after they have gone the light still remains and Amin is one true shining example. We would like to celebrate and remember him on this day by asking the family and friends to pray for elevation and gladness of his soul. He lived, laughed and loved all.  He soared into the kingdom of his Beloved too soon.

Our heart is always with him.

Shidfar & Farzaneh

Six years have passed

“O SON OF GLORY! Be swift in the path of holiness, and enter the heaven of communion with Me. Cleanse thy heart with the burnish of the spirit, and hasten to the court of the Most High.”

The Hidden Words of Bahá’u’lláh

All who have touched by beauty are touched by sorrow as well. Six years have now passed since our dear Amin moved on from this earthly plain. We do not want to dwell on why this happened but how he lived and what he gave to our world.

We live with the memory of our loved ones sheltered in our hearts and we honor and cherish those as long as we live. There may be a day that we accept what happened. There may be a day that we do not fight with whys and unpleasant tests in life. Life is a sense of daily challenges. To be content and have acceptance will open some doors to us that we could not ever imagine.

We always thought the most difficult moment of receiving the news of losing a child is when we hear that unimaginable news. But time has proved to us that it is just the beginning of a difficult journey. Out of his bounty the Almighty has bestowed upon us a precious gift that we all have been born with – the ability to face tests and obstacles. It is truly uplifting to be reminded as long as we carry the love of someone in our heart that this person is always with us. We cannot see the beyond but the promise is indeed heartwarming.

“Blessed is the soul which, at the hour of its separation from the body, is sanctified from the vain imaginings of the peoples of the world. Such a soul liveth and moveth in accordance with the Will of its Creator, and entereth the all-highest Paradise”

Happy 36th Birthday Amin John

Five years have passed and we are still  thinking back to the day when Amin was born.  When he first entered this world.  It is amazing to think how far he went in 30 years of life on this earthly plane of existence. His earthly birthday is a celebration of his life and all that he accomplished in a short amount of time.

The purpose of this life on earth is for each individual to develop the spiritual and moral qualities that lie at the core of his or her own nature.   Bahá’u’lláh referred to the human being as a “mine rich in gems of inestimable value.”   These “gems” or qualities can be “mined” or developed only when a person turns to God.

“SON OF BEING! Thy Paradise is My love; thy heavenly home, reunion with Me. Enter therein and tarry not. This is that which hath been destined for thee in Our kingdom above and Our exalted dominion.”

Out of our sight but never ever out of our mind.  Love you forever Amin John.

5 Years have passed, but not a moment without thinking about Amin

Our dearest friends & family,

Five years has passed since our dear Amin unexpectedly left us to continue his spiritual journey into the Kingdom of God.  In memory of Amin-jan we would like to share with you the Holy Words by Bahá’u’lláh regarding the purpose of life.

“Rejoice not in the things ye possess; tonight they are yours, tomorrow others will possess them. Thus warneth you He Who is the All-Knowing, the All-Informed. Say: Can ye claim that what ye own is lasting or secure? Nay! By Myself, the All-Merciful. The days of your life flee away as a breath of wind, and all your pomp and glory shall be folded up as were the pomp and glory of those gone before you. Reflect, O people! Happy the days that have been consecrated to the remembrance of God, and blessed the hours which have been spent in praise of Him Who is the All-Wise. By My life! Neither the pomp of the mighty, nor the wealth of the rich, nor even the ascendancy of the ungodly will endure. All will perish, at a word from Him. He, verily, is the All-Powerful, the All-Compelling, the Almighty. What advantage is there in the earthly things which men possess? That which shall profit them, they have utterly neglected. Erelong, they will awake from their slumber, and find themselves unable to obtain that which hath escaped them in the days of their Lord, the Almighty, the All-Praised.”

Man experiences his life as a meaningful when he lives in God’s presence not simply by encountering God in the world, but primarily by serving God in every day life, infusing every moment with the spirit of God, and by dedicating himself to ends beyond himself.

We could not even dream Amin would leave us this soon.  Amin is in our heart for ever and ever.

With love to all of you,

Shidfar, Farzaneh, Laila, Ashkan, Eman and Vafa

On the occasion of Vafa’s & Eman’s wedding

There are many occasions in life that brings joy and happiness to us which we love to share with our loved ones.  The union of Vafa and Eman is the perfect example.  In late July, friends and family joined us from all corners of the world and shared our happiness but sadly in this joyous occasion Amin-jan was not with us in appearance.  We surly believe Amin accompanied us at all times in spirit but we have to admit that his place was truly empty.  We never imagined to have Vafa’s wedding without having Amin by our side. During each moment of that joyous occasion, Amin was remembered and missed. But grief and sorrow of not having him with us was alleviated with the happiness of the union of Vafa and Eman.

One of the distinguishing characteristics of Amin was his unlimited and unconditional love for his family.  Surely he has sent his blessing, love, assistance and guidance from the Abha Kingdom for the marriage of his brother.   Not having Amin jan with us is a bitter reality that we have accepted.  He will be missed at every moments of our lives.

Deepest love to all,

Shidfar & Farzaneh
