Message from the Amirkia Family

Dearest family and friends,

We are grieving at the sudden and shocking loss of our beloved son and brother Amin Amirkia.  We are heartbroken but submit to the Will of God.  We are making arrangements for his funeral in China and plan to travel there as soon as logistics and travel details including visas can be put in place.

During this difficult time, we ask for your prayers for the progress of Amin’s soul.  As well for prayers for solace and patience for all of us such that we endure this great loss.

We thank you for your many comforting thoughts and words.  We are sorry that we are not able to answer each one in person.  You may know that this web site has been set up to collect memories, tributes and pictures of Amin.  We will appreciate your review and comments here which will be updated regularly.

With heartfelt regards,

Shidfar, Farzaneh, Ashkan & Laila + Vafa

My dear Shidfar, Farzaneh, Ashkan & Laila + Vafa,
No earthly words can express our feeling. And no earthly words can help anyone to over come such news.
However, I hope this prayer by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá help.
    Lynne, Roya, Tara, Mehran

O thou who art turning thy face towards God! Close thine eyes to all things else, and open them to the realm of the All-Glorious. Ask whatsoever thou wishest of Him alone; seek whatsoever thou seekest from Him alone. With a look He granteth a hundred thousand hopes, with a glance He healeth a hundred thousand incurable ills, with a nod He layeth balm on every wound, with a glimpse He freeth the hearts from the shackles of grief. He doeth as He doeth, and what recourse have we? He carrieth out His Will, He ordaineth what He pleaseth. Then better for thee to bow down thy head in submission, and put thy trust in the All-Merciful Lord.
    ‘Abdu’l-Bahá

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Amin’s passing….he was an exceptional young man who did much good in his short life….I so enjoyed having him as a student in his younger years, and in following his education and career as an adult…

As the mother of a son close to Amin’s age, I can only begin to imagine your loss.

    My love to you all,
    Fondly,

‘Allah’u’Abha dear Amin’s family. We were blessed to share a 30 mn. taxi ride with dear Amin in Hong Kong a few days ago and wanted to share how impressed we were with his upright character, humility and patience. We had our two-year old Vargha with us and Amin was so kind and patient when talking to the little one and inquiring about his favorite foods and activities. We are sure his dear and beloved soul is already exerting influence for the success of our efforts here. With much love, prayers and heartfelt condolences from Dalian, Zaynab, Aaron and Vargha-joon

I had the honor to meet dear Amin just for few minutes in a wedding of a friend of us in Beijing on Sept. 9, 2012, but those few minutes were enough to make any human being to love Amin so much, such a beautiful soul and pure heart. I feel so sad for myself and humanity to lose such a wonderful young man. I didn’t have the chance to tell him how much I love him, I hope he can hear it now,
    I LOVE YOU AMIN

  7. Shabnam & Vahid Mockon says:

My husband Vahid and I had the privilege of being in the same pilgrim group as Amin in February 2011. He was also our “neighbor” there, staying in the room next to us at the hostel. We travelled together every morning to our pilgrimage sites, and in that time got to know Amin and his gentle spirit. Amin’s qualities which especially stood out to us were a sense of deep contemplation and purposefulness about life, a gentle demeanor, diligence in striving for excellence, and very dignified. He surely left an impression on us, and we pray for the progress of his soul, and that he may especially assist his loved ones in this time of difficulty.

May the Blessed Beauty embrace Amin into His arms, and comfort your hearts.

    Much love,
    Shabnam & Vahid Mockon

Dearest Sheedfar, Farzaneh, Laila and Vafa,
Be assured that dear Amin will be in my daily prayers as I pray for his beautiful soul to draw ever nearer to the Presence of God. This time must be very overwhelming for all of you and so I also pray for your strength during this time. Dear Amin has touched so many people as he truly is a fearless servant of Bahá. I thought that some words from ‘Abdu’l-Bahá may bring you some comfort during this time:

“O thou beloved maidservant of God, although the loss of a son is indeed heart-breaking and beyond the limits of human endurance, yet one who knoweth and understandeth is assured that the son hath not been lost but, rather, hath stepped from this world into another, and she will find him in the divine realm. That reunion shall be for eternity, while in this world separation is inevitable and bringeth with it a burning grief.

Praise be unto God that thou hast faith, art turning thy face toward the everlasting Kingdom and believest in the existence of a heavenly world. Therefore be thou not disconsolate, do not languish, do not sigh, neither wail nor weep; for agitation and mourning deeply affect his soul in the divine realm.

That beloved child addresseth thee from the hidden world: ‘O thou kind Mother, thank divine Providence that I have been freed from a small and gloomy cage and, like the birds of the meadows, have soared to the divine world—a world which is spacious, illumined, and ever gay and jubilant. Therefore, lament not, O Mother, and be not grieved; I am not of the lost, nor have I been obliterated and destroyed. I have shaken off the mortal form and have raised my banner in this spiritual world. Following this separation is everlasting companionship. Thou shalt find me in the heaven of the Lord, immersed in an ocean of light.’ “

    All my love,
    Elaine Javid-Kite
